Although 2011 was a year in which we still felt continuation of the financial crisis of 2008, the year also showed signs of economic stabilization. Technology companies have been a prime contributor to our economy's recovery, with many companies either growing, or starting anew, in Silicon Valley and all around the Bay Area. We have great confidence in the long-term success of this region and are dedicated to play our part in this. We consider it our duty to survive and grow for both our customers and employees. We were able to strengthen our internal structure and improve our business operations, making departmental cooperation more efficient and being more systematic in our staff’s customer service training. We also opened our 5th store location in San Mateo to serve not just consumers on the Peninsula, but also the many tech companies that are bridging the distance between Silicon Valley and San Francisco. We will strive to continually improve our service and product offerings for our customers, and provide better opportunities for advancement to our employees. |

A big part of our business is in brand-name computer systems from HP, Lenovo, Asus, and others: desktops, laptops, and newly-popular tablets. We also provide major brand server solutions and networking equipment to many large corporate, government, and educational customers. Aside from systems, we carry a full selection of components and accessories from leading manufacturers such as Intel, AMD, Western Digital, Nvidia, Sony, and many others. |

Over our 25 years of history, we have specialized in building custom systems that meet the specific needs of Silicon Valley's high-tech companies and consumers. There are thousands of technology companies in Silicon Valley and around the Bay Area, and their computing needs often go beyond the stock offerings of mass-market brand-name manufacturers. Our in-house sales and technicians specialize in configuring and building tailored computing solutions, often within urgent delivery windows. |

Along with systems and components, our customers need a wide variety of accessories. Especially during hard economic times, people look for accessories that will help them stretch out the useful life of older equipment. In the past, we sourced accessories from middlemen distributors. But we focused on building up direct manufacturing relationships with overseas factories. By doing so, we cut our costs and extend the savings to our customers. And our sourcing and design office in China allows us to exercise better control over product quality and gain quicker access to new products and technologies. Many of the national chain stores mark up accessories with exhorbitant profit margins to take advantage of the fact that most customers do not compare prices on small purchases. At Central, however, we are dedicated to providing the best values on accessories, just as we are with systems and components. |

Nowadays, "online stores" are a popular source for customers to buy products, due to low prices. But many find the end value a bad one, when they run into problems that online stores cannot help them with. We have been providing technical service to our customers for over 25 years and we are determined to strengthen our capabilities in this direction. In order to meet the industry standards for tech services, we constantly train our technicians not only in skills, but also to serve our customers with honesty, integrity, and transparency. We want our staff to treat our customers with the same dedication they would use to help their own family or friends. We train them to not only provide the best service possible to our customers, but also to either upgrade their individual roles at Central, or to prepare them to move on to careers at one of the Bay Area’s many high-tech companies. |
